This river trip was filled with exciting happenings. We end up at the Narrows on the John Day river. Perfect depth for the boys to swim and the water is warm. And low and behold Jon strips down to his skivies and cannonballs off of the side of the boat.So we then need to hurry back to camp to take the trailer home, but decided to go back out on the boat. Well, things started getting hairy from this point on. Jon dented the tail gate when he backed into the goose-neck on the trailer.
We are now headed back up the river- can't wait to go swimming. AND we get into some rocks: bent the prop and did a little hull damage. Jon ends up jumping in fully clothed (including a new can of chew) into the river to get us out of the rocks. The picture is Jon replacing the prop in the river. What a good guy to bring a spare.
But we enjoyed the next couple of hours swimming. Patrick likes jumping off of the boat now. We can't wait until we can go out again.
