School Bios

Joseph has started out the school year very normal. It took three weeks before the first phone call from the principal. And both boys have already gotten bus slips sent home for fighting in the aisle.
Joseph's second grade teacher is Mrs. Sharp. We really like her. So far she says Joseph is doing really well.
Joseph is racking up a lot of AR points (they read a book, take a test and get points based on how many questions they get right).

Patrick has had a little slower start this year. Still not sure what is going on. He is having problems with the AR tests. Last year he read over 125 books and this year he can hardly pass a test. I have called the school twice and even went up there. So now every night both boys have to read.
Patrick's second grade teacher is Mrs. Tatum. Not real sure about her yet. She didn't even know he was having trouble with the AR tests. Not sure she really knows what is going on in the classroom. So we will be vigilant about his academics this year. We have reconsidered again about sending the boys to another school.

Pool

The boys got their first pool. It will be nice on those hot days, they were getting a little tired of the sprinkler.

Fun Updates

Joseph enjoying the 4H Cloverbud swim party at the Goldendale pool on June 5.

Here is Patrick. This was a great trip to end the year. We had nine kids registered. The pool was awesome, it has an inflateable dome cover. There is a slide, which Joe loved. The boys are signed up to do swimming lessons there this year.

Patrick First Time Catching

Patrick had been waiting all season to practicing catching and he got to at Monday's practice. And then amazingly, at Friday's game he caught for 2 innings with a pitching machine.

The Ride

Early Birthday Present

Yes Patrick got a dirt bike. Jon couldn't wait for his birthday.

New boots.
New helmet. He is a little timid but is doing good.

Mariner's Fanfest

We went to the Seattle Boat Show the last weekend in January. It was great. While we were eating lunch a guy came up to us and gave us four tickets to the Mariner's Fanfest. There was no way I wasn't going to take the boys- Safeco was right across the street (we were at Qwest Field).

We walked ran the bases.

They sat in the dugout.

Then played a little catch out on the field. We had a really great time. Jon stayed at the boat show.

New Year's Catch Up

The boys toasted in the New Year. We had fun sledding. The boys loved being towed behind the Gator on a tube.
The really big news is Patrick lost his first tooth and then the next night lost a second one. The tooth fairy was busy stopping by our house.
